ah, highschool.

welp im going to be a freshman this year, and i honestly don't know what to think about that at this point
im really stressed right now because the school i want to get into sTILL hasnt let me in let
since the process is confusing; heres an explanation
3 high schools in my city, the one i want to go to accepts 100 kids per grade. its a complete lottery, nothing to do with academics (this sucks bc im a high honor student ( ) but anyway so i entered and if u dont get in u get put on a waitlist and the results are in like march, and not everyone who signs up ends up actually going so they end up having a lot of kids drop off the list of kids that got in and then if your on the waitlist you can get into the school. i got number 34 on the waitlist out of 37. now im number 11, but school starts on wednesday. they only transfer kids on the second day of school, after that your stuck with one of the other two schools for the rest of the year. i'm the only person i know who didnt get into the school yet and im so scared. i want to go so bad.
one thing that does piss me off tho is that although it is a lottery, if you have a sibling that already goes to that school they AUTOMATICALLY LET YOU IN. im sorry that has good intentions but its really not fair to the other kids.
i just really love that school a lot and im not sure what im going to do if i dont get in.

what's even more frustrating is that in the past years theyve had as many as 70 kids on the waitlist and literally EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM GOT IN
but its less than a week before school starts and im still not in god im SO TERRIFIED
sorry i needed to rant and this is literally the only thing i use journals for
but anyway when i do go back to school, you probably won't notice that much of a difference in activity on here since i draw twice as much during the school year to make up for lost time. i also zone out during classes and get shit tons of ideas.
